 Graduates of Cosmetology study programme may work in the enterprises which provide Beauty services, Beauty Salons, Wellness and SPA centers, Movies and Photo studios, establish specialized individual enterprises, work as face-painters, consultants in the cosmetics stores or beauty business enterprises. Cosmetology studies of the first cycle of Cosmetology study field (professional Bachelor’s studies) shall be oriented to the preparation of a professional beuty therapist able to perform practical activity:

  • provision of cosmetology services in beauty salons;
  • provision of mobile cosmetology services in non-specialized locations;
  • application of cosmetology equipment and materials;
  • organization of cosmetological activities;
  • cosmetological qualifications improvement.

Advantages

Study environment. Students can study full-time and part-time. Opportunities are created to combine studies and work. According to their wishes, students can practice at the College Cosmetology Center, which is equipped with treatment rooms, a mini spa and so on. Already during the study year, students have the opportunity to test their acquired professional skills by providing services to clients under the supervision of lecturers.

Practice. During their studies, students perform professional internships in various beauty and SPA salons and centers in Utena, Vilnius, Panevėžys, Šiauliai and others.

Experience abroad. Students can go to study and practice in Greece, Cyprus, Latvia and others.

Social activity. Participation in various charity events. Preparation of participants for various competitions. Students participate in professional excellence competitions, not only nationally but also internationally.

Possibilities for further studies. After completing cosmetology college study and obtained the Health Sciences professional bachelor's degree and after additional studies, graduates may continue their studies according to university study KU, LSMU, MRU and others. There is an opportunity to continue studies in foreign higher education institutions. 

The objective of Cosmetology study program is to prepare beauty therapists, professionally capable of autonomously and in a team to provide services cosmetological beauty, health and wellness in the field of self-critical assessment of the practical experience of professional activities, creatively adapt to constant changes in the environment.

After studies, graduates will be able to:

  • assess the client's skin condition based on the functional, aesthetic, age criteria, specifically selecting assessment methods and equipment, according to a history of personal data and the identification of the aesthetic needs of the customer;
  • create short-term and long-term plans for cosmetic procedures, assessment of the condition of the skin and set the individual objective and subjective skin changes;
  • analysis and self-selection cosmetics materials Cosmetology equipment and appliances, according to the client's needs and the nature of the procedures performed;
  • self-made cosmetic procedures and the quality of service, security specialist (beauty, health, wellness areas) and non-specialized areas, in accordance with cosmetic governing documents and regulations, hygiene requirements, the principles of ergonomics;
  • effectively plan, organize cosmetological services and professional practices;
  • organize cosmetic care business, an analysis of the market for cosmetic, cosmetic materials, cosmetic equipment, tools advertising and distribution;
  • communicate and collaborate with beauty care and other areas, customers in the national and international context;
  • collect and organize the data necessary for performance problems, and the use of information resources and information technology;
  • self-learn, creatively adapt to the changing environment, identifying and managing personal change and development needs.
