Utenos kolegija/ HEI is a student‑centred state higher education institution committed to delivering professionally oriented studies grounded in applied research, experiential learning, and close cooperation with regional and international stakeholders.

The institution’s mission is to provide high‑quality higher education that meets contemporary societal needs and contributes to regional development, innovation, and professional excellence.

Upon successful completion of studies, graduates are awarded a Professional Bachelor’s degree, a Diploma of Higher Education, and a Diploma Supplement issued in accordance with the standards of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). All study programmes are subject to regular external evaluation and accreditation by national and international experts, ensuring alignment with European quality-assurance principles and labour-market expectations.

The institution currently offers 18 accredited study programmes across diverse fields. Teaching and learning are delivered by a highly qualified academic community, including professors, associate professors, and practitioner‑lecturers with substantial theoretical expertise and professional experience. Selected modules are taught by visiting academics from leading European universities, contributing to the international dimension of the curriculum. Studies are explicitly career‑focused, integrating professional practice and internships as essential components of the learning process.

Internationalisation is a strategic priority of Utena HEI. The institution holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021–2027, enabling active participation in international mobility schemes, strategic partnerships, and collaborative projects.
