Representatives of RTA visited Utena University of Applied Sciences

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, from 25 until 26 November, lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Rezekne Academy of Technologies (RTA) Daina Znotiņa and Ēvalds Višķers, and Head of the RTA Public Relations Department Lolita Kivleniece-Kuzņecova visited Utena University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania). The purpose of the visit- exchange of good practice, promotion of mutual collaboration, meeting with students and conducting lectures.

The representatives of RTA met with Rector of Utena University Raimundas Čepukas, Head of the International Relations Department Rūta Jurgelionienė, and Head of the Career Centre Vaida Steponėnienė. Lithuanian colleagues emphasized that their country's education system is undergoing reforms that have a certain impact on the university. “In recent years, we have strengthened our career guidance system and collaboration with other foreign universities. It is also important to work on project development and strengthen research capacity,” said R. Jurgelionienė.

RTA has been cooperating with Utena University of Applied Sciences for many years.  A number of joint projects are ongoing, lecturers and students are regularly going on exchange under the ERASMUS + programme, joint bachelor`s programme “Hospitality Management” has been implemented, and cooperation in conference organization is also maintained.
