In October, faculty and students of the Faculty of Business and Technology actively shared their scientific insights at conferences and other events.
Head of the Department of Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daiva Petrėnaitė, delivered a lecture "Equal opportunities and prohibition of discrimination on the grounds of faith, belief or opinion and religion" to Vilnius University students.
At the 13th international conference SCEDU’2025, organized by Panevėžys College, Dr. Maryna Toporkova, a research fellow at the Department of Law, gave a presentation on "Protection of Human Rights in the Context of the Globalization Process", and Dr. Rūta Meištė, an associate professor at the Department of Business and Public Management, and Dr. Daiva Beržinskienė-Juozainienė presented "Assessing Regional Sustainability Progress: Interaction of Economic, Social and Environmental Factors".
These faculty representatives also participated in the 16th International Interdisciplinary Conference "Global Security in the Era of Cultural and Geopolitical Changes" of the Congress "One World - Many Cultures" organized by the Kujawsko-Pomorska Academy (Bydgoszcz, Poland). At the conference, Dr. Maryna Toporkova gave a presentation on "Legal Regulation of Refugee Status in the European Union", Dr. Rūta Meištė (co-author Dr. Daiva Beržinskienė-Juozainienė) - "Analysis of the Implementation of Sustainable Practices in the Construction Sector".
Students presented their research at the exhibition "Posters in the Seimas 2025". Gytis Beresnevičius, a final-year student of the Automatic Control Systems study program, presented a poster on the research "Innovative Indoor Air Quality Management System" (scientific supervisor Dr. Laimonas Kairiūkštis), and Natalija Sapožnikova, a final-year student of the Tourism Services Management study program, presented a poster on the research "Analysis of the Application of Sustainability Principles in Lithuanian Tourism Enterprises" (scientific supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramutė Narkūnienė).
