Types of Mobility
▼ Study Mobility for Students (SMS)
A study period abroad at a partner higher education institution. The study period abroad must be part of the student's study programme to complete a degree at any study cycle. The study mobility can last from 2 to 12 months.
▼ Student Mobility for Traineeships (SMT)
A traineeship (work placement, internship) abroad in an enterprise, a research institute, a laboratory, an organisation or any other relevant workplace. The student mobility for traineeship can last from 2 to 12 months.
▼ Blended Intensive Program (BIP)
Blended Intensive Program is a short and intensive programme that applies innovative learning and teaching methods, combining physical mobility abroad with a virtual component. The physical mobility can last from 5 to 30 days.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate, students must:
● Be enrolled at Utenos Kolegija;
● Have completed at least one semester of studies (for SMP) or two semesters (for SMS);
● Have good academic standing;
● Demonstrate motivation and readiness for international mobility.
Students may participate in the Erasmus+ programme for up to 12 months within each study cycle (bachelor, master or doctorate). It is possible to do more than one exchange within that limit.
▼ Application Procedure
Students must submit:
● Application form for studies abroad;
● Transcript of Records;
● Motivation letter;
● Online Learning Agreement (before the mobility);
● CV (in Lithuanian and foreign languages);
● Language certificate (if required).
Students must check language requirements of the host institution and plan the study program corresponding to the level and field of study at Utenos Kolegija.
Before the start of the mobility, students must have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Travel insurance is recommended.
Selection criteria include:
● Academic performance;
● Motivation;
● Language skills;
● Study field relevance.
▼ Documents required after returning from studies/internships
At the end of the mobility period, students must submit the following documents:
Erasmus+ study mobility:
● Academic certificate issued by the host institution proving the actual duration of studies, assessment during studies (Learning Agreement for Studies, part After Mobility);
● Online EU Survey. To be completed no later than 30 calendar days from the date the invitation to complete it is received. Students who fail to submit a report are required to repay part of the EU grant.
Erasmus+ traineeship mobility:
● Internship certificate issued by the host institution, proving the actual duration of studies, assessment during studies (Learning Agreement for Traineeship, part After Mobility);
● Online EU survey. To be completed no later than 30 calendar days from the date the invitation to complete it is received. Students who fail to submit a report are required to repay part of the EU grant.
▼ Financial Support
Erasmus+ provides monthly grants to cover part of the living costs abroad. Students may be awarded an Erasmus+ grant, in part, covering their travel and subsistence expenses incurred during the Erasmus+ study period abroad.
Erasmus+ students are exempt from fees for tuition, registration, examinations, and charges for access to laboratories or libraries at the receiving institution.

Additional financial support is available in the following cases:
● Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities: Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities receive an additional support of 250 EUR per month for long-term mobility;
● Students and recent graduates on traineeships: Students and recent graduates carrying out traineeships receive an additional support of 150 EUR per month.
● Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities who take part in traineeships are entitled to receive additional support grant for students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities and additional support grant for traineeships.

Additional financial support is available in the following cases:
● Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities: Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities receive an additional support of 100 EUR for a physical mobility activity period of 5-14 days, and 150 EUR for the one of 15-30 days.
Travel expenses
Travel costs for students going on Erasmus+ mobilities are calculated according to the European Commission's distance calculator.
Green travel: Students and recent graduates travelling by environmentally friendly means may receive additional individual support.The environmentally friendly transport includes bus, train, and carpooling with at least two other Erasmus+ mobility participants.
IMPORTANT: Travel distance, as calculated using the European Commission’s distance calculator, refers to the distance from the place of departure to the mobility activity location in a straight line. Participants are paid a fixed amount for their travels to and from the destination.

Recognition of Studies
All successfully completed courses or traineeship activities abroad are fully recognised and included in the student’s academic record according to the Learning Agreement.
