The objective of Social Work study program is to prepare a specialist who is able to proficiently provide social assistance that would help the persons, families, groups, organizations, communities to overcome social problems and to achieve optimal social functioning in the society.
Students of Social Work study program who have gained professional bachelor's degree will be able to work:
In institutions of social security: local care and welfare offices, social services departments, social care homes, day care centers, rehabilitation centers, hostels, child protection services;
In institutions of health security: the different types of hospitals, centers of drug, mental health centers, nursing homes, primary health care and so on;
In education institutions: general education schools;
In law security institutions: juvenile services, resocialization centers, prisons also non-governmental organizations.
The objective of Social Work study
Study achievements of the student:
Knowledge - knows and apply the practical professional knowledge based on most recent discoveries, while identifying and solving the complex concrete or abstract operational problems.
Researching abilities - is able to collect and analyze the data needed for the specific work and innovation issues.
Special abilities - is able to plan, organize, implement and evaluate practical work in a particular sphere, while individually choosing technological, organizational and methodological tools.
Social abilities - is able to communicate with professionals and other persons while dealing with professional tasks. Takes responsibility for own and their workers quality of performance in accordance with professional ethics and public spirit. Is able to convey the knowledge of its field and understanding to the learners.
Personal abilities - is able to learn individually in their professional field. Understands the moral responsibility for their activities and their impact on the society, on economic and cultural development, welfare and the environment.
